If you love books, you will love this list. These are great suggestions for books on health, relationships, self-development, memoirs, self-help, home organization, psychology, happiness, beauty, success, and sex!

1. Genius Life by Max Lugavere

Great book. Positive, upbeat, good vibes only.

2. Live Love Explore: Discover the Way of the Traveler, a Roadmap to the Life You Were Meant to Live by Leon Logothetis

It was such a fun read and eye-opening.

3. Kosher Sex by Shmuley Boteach

I didn’t know what to expect from this book since an Orthodox rabbi wrote it, but I actually really liked it. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a meaningful sexual experience.

4. Eight Dates: Essential Conversations for a Lifetime of Love By John and Julie Gottman

You can’t go wrong with anything by Dr. Gottman; he is a genius when it comes to relationships. I can’t recommend it enough. I wish I had read this book in my twenties.

5. The Girl with Seven Names: Escape from North Korea by Hyeonseo Lee

I couldn’t put this book down. I read it in one day with four children jumping around me. Yup, I opt for free-range parenting when I have an enthralling book.

6. Slow: Simple Living for a Frantic World by Brooke McAlary

Good book, but I could have lived without it.

7. The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls

Incredible story and I highly recommend it. A page-turner and heartwrenching. Get the tissues ready!

8. Maybe you should talk to someone by Lori Gottlieb

Amazing book! Definitely recommend it!

9. Love Warrior by Glennon Doyle

Beautiful book! I cried so much reading it. A must-read!

10. The Path Made Clear: Discovering Your Life’s Direction and Purpose by Oprah Winfrey

Great book and very inspirational!

11. Good Morning Monster: Five Heroic Journeys to Recovery by Katherine Gildiner

Amazing book. A compilation of five heartbreaking personal stories of people who never gave up on themselves. It renewed my hopes for humanity. Highly recommended.

12. Secrets of the Millionaire Mind: Mastering the Inner Game of Wealth by T. Harv Eker

Great advice on mastering your mindset about wealth. Definitely recommend it.

13. Atomic Habits by James Clear

Awesome book!

14. If Love Was a Game, These Are the Rules by Cherie Carter-Scott

I am a sucker for this kind of book. Some great advice in there.

15. Wise as Fuck: Simple Truths to Guide You Through the Sh*tstorms of Life by Gary John Bishop

Great book!

16. Frugal Isn’t Cheap: Spend Less, Save More, and Live BETTER by Clare Levison

Great advice on a minimalist lifestyle. It is rubbing on me.

17. Break Up Bootcamp: The Science of Rewiring Your Heart by Amy Chan

Awesome book. Highly recommend it to anyone going through a breakup.

18. I Am Malala: How One Girl Stood Up for Education and Changed the World by Malala Yousafzai

A super powerful book!

19. Everything is Fucked: a Book About Hope by Mark Manson

Let’s be honest; who doesn’t want a friend like Mark Manson? Great book, although I liked “ The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck” way more.

20. House of Glass: The Story and Secret of a Twentieth-century Jewish Family by Hadley Freeman

Fascinating story!

21. Educated by Tara Westover

I loved this book!!! Very inspirational and empowering. A must-read!

22. Committed: A Skeptic Makes Peace with Marriage by Elizabeth Gilbert

Amazing book! It will make you rethink marriage, although I hope if you get married, you will make more than ‘peace with it’; you will make it last.

23. Take the Long Way Home: Memoirs of a Survivor by Susan Gordon Lydon

An incredible memoir about a woman battling drug addiction for 25 years and the long journey to recovery. You won’t be able to put the book down!

24. The Gifts of Imperfection: Let Go of Who You Think You’re Supposed to Be and Embrace Who You Are by Brene Brown

Who doesn’t love Brene Brown? Great book, of course!

25. How to Do the Work: Recognize Your Patterns, Heal from Your Past, and Create Your Self by Dr. Nicole LePera

I had no idea who the author was, and the title sounded very general, but actually, it was a good practical book.

26. Miss America by Day: Lessons Learned from Ultimate Betrayals and Unconditional Love by Marilyn Van Derbur

There are not enough words to describe this book. A former Miss America who was a victim of incest for 13 years, her long way to recovery and incredible work with sexual abuse victims. A MUST-READ!

27. Hormone Intelligence: The Complete Guide to Calming Hormone Chaos and Restoring Your Body’s Natural Blueprint for Well-Being by Aviva Romm

Super informative and practical. Knowledge is power, and knowing why and how things are happening in your body is empowering! Highly recommend it!

28. The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing by Marie Kondo

If you want to organize your home and your life. Read it. Although, apparently, Kondo said she gave up on tidying after having three kids. Maybe I should write an anxiety-free-get-organized book!

29. The Sun Does Shine: How I Found Life and Freedom on Death Row by Anthony Ray Hinton

This book is exceptional!!! The faith Hinton had in himself, God, and life will bring you to the verge of tears more than once. I cannot recommend it highly enough!

30. The Next Right Thing: A Simple, Soulful Practice for Making Life Decisions by Emily P. Freeman

It was an ok book.

31. Breaking Night: A Memoir of Forgiveness, Survival, and My Journey from Homeless to Harvard by Liz Murray

Beautiful book!!! Definitely recommend it.

32. Outer Order, Inner Calm: Declutter and Organize to Make More Room for Happiness by Gretchen Rubin

I have heard so much about Gretchen Rubin that I was expecting more. It is a good book, but nothing earth-shattering.

33. Burnout: The Secret to Unlocking the Stress Cycle by Emily and Amelia Nagoski

YES! Amazing book!

34. The Book of Ichigo Ichie: The Art of Making the Most of Each Moment, the Japanese Way by Hector Garcia and Francesc Miralles

A nice easy read. Stay in the moment. That was pretty much it, from what I can remember.

35. Impossible Parenting: Creating a New Culture of Mental Health for Parents by Olivia Scobie

Great book for parents!

36. Live Happy: Ten Practices For Choosing Joy by Deborah K. Heisz

Good book!!!

37. Barking Up the Wrong Tree: The Surprising Science Behind Why Everything You Know About Success is (Mostly) Wrong by Eric Barker

Interesting book.

38. As a Man Thinketh by James Allen

This book is a classic. You can read it in 20 minutes. Lots of the ideas there have been used and reused by many other thinkers and writers, but it was nice to read it from the one and only James Allen.

39. The French Beauty Solution: Time-Tested Secrets to Look and Feel Beautiful Inside and Out by Mathilde Thomas

Beautiful book. It was a nice relaxing read. Basically, drink lots of red wine.

40. Attached: The New Science of Adult Attachment and How It Can Help You Find and Keep Love by Amir Levine and Rachel Heller

A MUST-READ! Needn’t I say more?

41. Three Women by Lisa Taddeo

A very interesting read for some spicy female real-life stories.

42. The Secret Lives of Wives: Women Share What It Really Takes to Stay Married by Iris Krasnow

Great book. Very empowering.

43. The Healing Self: A Revolutionary New Plan to Supercharge Your Immunity and Stay Well for Life by Deepak Chopra and Rudolph E. Tanzi

Again I was disappointed. The book was boring, and nothing new in it.

44. The Courage to Love Again: Creating Happy, Healthy Relationships After Divorce by Sheila Ellison

Great book!

45. The Blue Zones of Happiness: Lessons From the World’s Happiest People by Dan Buettner

AMAZING BOOK! Highly recommend it!

46. What You Feel You Can Heal: A Guide for Enriching Relationships by John Gray

Great book, but because I have read many other books and heard lectures from John Gray, I could have almost written the book myself. But if you are not familiar with his ideas, it is an amazing book.

47. Mindset: The New Psychology of Success by Carol Dweck

INCREDIBLE BOOK! Please READ IT!

48. Happy: Secrets to Happiness From the Cultures of the World — a compilation

Nice easy read.

49. The Unmade Bed: The Messy Truth About Men and Women in the Twenty-first Century by Stephen Marche

Good book!

50. The 5-Second Rule: Transform Your Life, Work, and Confidence with Everyday Courage by Mel Robbins

Great book, but again, I am very familiar with Mel Robbin’s work, so it wasn’t so interesting to me. But if it’s a new idea for you, it’s worth a read.

51. Wabi Sabi Love: The Ancient Art of Finding Perfect Love in Imperfect Relationships by Arielle Ford

Beautiful book.

52. Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead by Sheryl Sandberg

I had to finish the year with an awesome, powerful, inspiring book. And this was it. I couldn’t have chosen a better book. A must-read!
